Maximilian Ibrahimovic is set to join Ajax on loan with an option to buy, as an agreement has been reached between all parties for the transfer.

Late last night, it was reported by the likes of De Telegraaf and Fabrizio Romano that Ajax had initiated talks with Milan over a potential transfer of Maximilian Ibrahimovic, the oldest son of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. By the sounds of it, the negotiations have proceeded at a rapid pace.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan and Ajax have now reached an agreement for a loan with an option to buy. There will also be a sell-on clause in favour of the Rossoneri, which effectively could help them buy him back at a lower price tag if they want to.

Gianluca Di Marzio has also confirmed the matter, stating that the clubs are exchanging the documents as we speak. It might not be long before an official statement drops, as such, and the winger will definitely miss Milan Futuro’s game tomorrow.

Speaking of Massimo Oddo’s side, Ibrahimovic’s departure will obviously be a bit of a blow, as the 19-year-old has scored 5 goals and 4 assists for the season. Some reinforcements are expected for the team, though, and potential some promotions.

As for the figures of the deal, there have been no reports on that so far, but we will keep you posted once details emerge.

    1. That’s what I was just about to say. Fire the coach because he refused to play the son, and how has his “talent” shown differently?

        1. It’s a mix of both Ibra being disgruntled that his son didn’t even get a single minute with the Primavera and the fact that Milan didn’t know if they actually would have a Futuro team implemented the following season.

  1. It is a good move. Playing with Ajax is better than in Serie D. He is 19 years old and needs to play in more competitive environment to develop. Look at kerkez who decided to leave to get more playing time. Look where he is now, starter at liverpool.

  2. Just like Daniel Maldini was trash and was just playing out of nepotism, good riddance regarding Ibra’s son because then Ibra won’t be able to make a fuss to force a Milan coach to start his son. For me, that’s welcome news.

Do realize that there is no buy back clause like in the case of Camarda, so probably Max Ibrahimovic is gone for good.

    1. Daniel Maldini didn’t play because of nepotism in fact he only played roughly 500 minutes over all seasons spend with us and still contributed with 3-4 g/a. In fact Paoplo made it pretty clear that just because he was his son he wouldn’t get an easier way to the first team quite the contrary.
