Romano: Juventus prepare offer for Barcelona, Milan target – background on Maldini’s meeting

Ahead of next season, AC Milan are monitoring several young players on the transfer market, ready to start the youth revolution with Ralf Rangnick. Certainly, the latter will be looking to make a few signings in September.

According to Fabrizio Romano in his latest piece for Calciomercato.com, Juventus have set their sights on one of Milan’s targets, namely Lazar Samardzic. The 18-year-old is already a protagonist for Hertha Berlin, showing his qualities on the big stage.

The Bianconeri have already reached out to the player’s agent and are preparing an offer for the attacking midfielder, who hasn’t signed a professional contract yet. However, in January, he made it clear that he doesn’t want to leave the Bundesliga.

Paolo Maldini, Milan’s technical director, met Samardzic in person in an attempt to bring him to the Rossoneri. With his quality, personality and technique, he was (and still is) considered as the perfect signing for the new Milan.

Barcelona are also interested in the player, per the report, and Juve have signed up for the race. The ball, therefore, is in Samardzic’s court to decide between the offers he has received.
