A January move for Robert Lewandowski does not seem to be a realistic idea for AC Milan, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Yesterday, Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari claimed that Lewandowski has ‘strongly emerged’ as a target for Milan in their search for a No.9. His contract with Barcelona expires at the end of season, meaning he could be available for a low transfer fee.

Not only that, but he reported that Santiago Gimenez’s agent is working on a winter exit, so it could be a case of one in one out. Sport in Spain then confirmed that Milan’s management have indeed met with Lewandowski’s agent – Pini Zahavi – to discuss the possibility of signing him.
Lewa to Milan: Romano’s update
During a video posted on Friday night on his Italian YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano gave his take on the Lewandowski rumours and poured cold water on the idea of him being a mid-season signing.

“From what we know, Lewandowski isn’t planning a January transfer, as his desire and focus are on completing the season at Barça. However, the chances of a free transfer in the summer remain higher,” he said.
So, if Milan are to land the Polish star then it seems likely that they will have to wait until next summer. Having seen the impact of Luka Modric’s arrival, though, Lewandowski might well be deemed worth the wait.

Like james bond, no time to wait for summer if we can get him earlier so scudetto might be easier to get, maybe joan laporta can help or seducing to get thing works in the winter 😀
He got 16M€ net last season from Barcelona. That is over 20M€ gross per season. Leao, Pulisic, Modric and Rabiot put together are just above that amount. Not serious, if he’ll come to play for 3.5M like Modric will yes. If not, waste of time…
And he won’t, I can tell you this. His attitude is not of Luka Modric type, he is much different. He left Bayern on a free because they offered him a bit less money than what he had, due to his age. Modric would never do this to the club he played for that long. This is the part I hate most, comparing this guy to Modric. As players yes, as a human being, he can’t reach Luka’s ankles.
Firstly, In the summer there should be better options available then the aging Lewa.
Secondly, Gimenez keeps proclaiming his love for Milan yet his agent is believed to be looking for a way out for him?
Lastly, Milan don’t have as many holes to plug outside of CB and a 9 so wouldn’t it make sense to make it until the summer and go for concrete targets? Although I would love for them to make a move for Gila in the winter.
Well, his love for the club isn’t enough. He just can’t score even if his life depended on it. Yes, Gila would be perfect addition, but we need a CF now
Current AC Milan ownership is same as Thrifty stores. End of story
