Rasmus Hojlund is now a growing option for AC Milan this summer. In fact, the terms may lining up favourably for him.
The issue with Vlahovic, throughout the chase, has been the finances of the deal. Milan have needed to pay more to release him from his contract, or cough up extra for his wages. In both cases, it is not ideal.

So, other options have to be considered with a striker needed. With this, others have begun to be assessed from a state of necessity. The Rossoneri could end up left red-faced and striker-less at the end of the summer if they are not careful.
Road to Hojlund
This is the reason, exactly, why there has been a change in the wishlist. According to reports yesterday, Hojlund is now the top preference and it stems from ‘fears’ about the delay in the Vlahovic saga.
So, last night, Fabrizio Romano took the time to assess the situation on his YouTube channel, via MilanNews.
“I’ve been told that Manchester United have recently made a strong initial offer to let Rasmus Hojlund leave on loan. It’s a name I mentioned several times over the summer, saying: let’s keep an eye on him.
“Hojlund insisted, and still insists, on the possibility of staying at Manchester United to play his cards, compete with Sesko and Zirkzee. But for their part, Manchester United are open to selling Hojlund and are now doing so also on loan with an option to buy.
“This is important news that opens up some scenarios; the terms of the potential loan need to be understood. It wouldn’t be free, but rather very costly and also with a very significant salary that needs to be covered and with an option to buy at a higher price than it would cost to buy Hojlund today.
“Terms to be discussed; Milan are interested in Rasmus Hojlund, have had several contacts and have been memorizing the situation for several days. The Dusan Vlahovic option remains open. I can say that Milan have also spoken with the Hojlund intermediaries.”
Sounds like the option would be higher than we’d be willing to pay if it has to be set higher than it is today, seeing as I think his value on Man Utd’s accounts is around 45M at the moment. Wages probably around 4.5M gross. Problem, I would guess, would be the loan fee as they’re probably wanting to cover as much of the 15M he’ll officially cost them this year as possible.
The team is in England over the weekend. They can pick him up on the way home. Another saving for the budget (no private jet needed)

Both players not will take salary what we will gave them. If we gave them big salary then we will have problem with all our players at club,atmosphere will be disaster and we will be again at down.
If they will take salary 4m then ok,but i think both will not come if not have 8 or 9mil,and that is better then Leao so we will have big big big problems.
Big difference between the two on salary, Hojlund is currently on about 2.5-3M net and Vlahovic is on 12M net.
With Vlahovic, it comes down to whether he’s willing to accept a salary for the player he is now or not.
Hojlund depends whether he’s happy to stay on his current wage elsewhere or his agent is pushing for a (very unearned IMO) rise.
Hojlund has a room to growth 📈 with right attitude, meanwhile Vlahovic is mostly interested in his final fat paycheck… He is willing to get that 12 million even by sacrificing whole year on bench

Vlahovic has a good CV in Serie A. he lit it up at Fiorentina and while his output wasn’t worth 70mil at Juve (which is more of a dig at Juve’s transfer decisions) he still scored them there. And we know he can work with Max.
Hojlund’s numbers are more limited with only the Atalanta stint to really show for it.
So if we’re talking a 15-20mil transfer for Vlahovic VS a loan with a 35-40mil option for the Dane, I’d rather go with the Serb.
Another problem is that Vlahovic and Santi are similar profile players and if we want to make an intelligent transfer for the CF, we should go for a different profile than Santi, to offer us something else in attack.

Hojlund and Vlahovic are too overrated and costly. Milan has struggled to find a reliable No. 9 in recent years. They should scout for a strong No. 9 striker elsewhere, e.g. Bundesliga. Jonathan Burkardt, Ermedin Demirović, Andrej Kramarić and Tim Kleindienst are all promising, not expensive and worth considering.
Get this boy and let’s call the market a day. At least for inward transfer.
Hojlund earns less than some of our players, and the overall cost of the deal, if we eventually seal a permanent deal after his loan, is not far from what we are going to pay for Jashari, which is a little more than half what Man utd paid for him. He’s still young, and can re-ignite his career at the league he left from. Man utd have had two torrid seasons, and only a few of their players have done well within that time. Can’t really judge any player at the club presently.
Last season, hojlund only make 10 goals for united. Better we play camarda than hojlund. Not far enough

He scored 16 goals at his first season at Man Utd (even earned a spot in UCL’s top scorer before his team eliminated). Only scored 10 last season, but then again, who performed wonder in last season’s Man Utd? He got a pretty good number on his national team too.
30-40 mil is a fair valuation for that potential. Even Atalanta bought him for 21 mil back then, not a small number. And we know Atalanta. They can smell talents million miles away.
Rafael Leao was what when signed? He cost 40M.
