Romano: Milan agree two-year deal with Chelsea striker and will try again for Ziyech

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are negotiating with Chelsea over the possibility of signing two forwards this summer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The journalist spoke during Don Robbie’s podcast (via MilanXtra) and gave an update on the rumours linking Milan with a move for Ziyech, describing it as ‘an interesting situation’ because Milan have indeed asked for him.

Chelsea’s stance for the time being is clear as they have said that they will not give any discounts having paid €40m to sign him from Ajax. The Blues want to keep the player, but the Rossoneri will try again during the window.

Regarding Olivier Giroud meanwhile, the 34-year-old French striker has an agreement on personal terms with Milan over a two-year contract at €3.5m net per season, but Chelsea are still negotiating with Milan about the fee because the Diavolo want him for free. The player is clear: he wants to try a new experience in Italy with Milan.

  1. Only a fool can bring an old and worn out striker, it will be a great shame for Milan to bring Olivier Giroud, who is 34 years old and who showed at EURO 2021 that he does not have the strength to play 30 minutes without talking the whole game, he is very slow and cannot to play in Italy

  2. I still can’t understand what maldini see in Olivier giroud. I am still trying to wrap my fingers around it. But instead of giroud, why not Tammy Abraham, he his young, tall, good and has lil experience. He will fit serieA we can get him for loan with option to buy, same with tomori. And if we decide to sell later for a good sum. With mentorship Tammy Abraham will rule Italy for a long time. In my honest opinion, ziyech, Tammy and or bakayoko, if not get me Renato Sanchez the guy is a beast. Right now we should build for the future. Not just short term. If we can get Tammy Abraham, Renato and coutinho we would ravampage our team for ten more years. Give kessie six years contract sign tonali for the future. Pls why aren’t we moving for locatelli a call from maldini admitting we were wrong to sell him can change lots of things. We need good players and champions not dirt no club in euro wants to buy. If we really want to make money from sponsors we need world class players then we can renegotiate our terms with them. No sponsor will give crazy contract to club who sign bags of dirt.
