AC Milan are getting closer and closer to signing Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal as the paperwork could be checked by the authorities on Monday, a report claims.
As has been reported by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, the Nigerian winger is set to become the latest signing for Milan in the summer transfer window.
It has been a very busy window but the club wanted more than one winger, and Christian Pulisic has already arrived.
The paperwork for Chukwueze is going through the system today and plans are being made for when he can arrive in Italy later in the week, where he will do his medical and then sign his contract.
Milan had been close to signing Arnaut Damjuma from Villarreal at one stage, but he signed for Everton instead and it led to Milan accelerating for Chukwueze.
He will likely battle with Pulisic to be the starting right winger for Stefano Pioli’s team.

Personally for me this would be the biggest reinforcement. He is technical, quick and explosive and can pose a lot of headaches for our opponents. I would
place him on par with Leao. Had there been more years left on his contract we could not have even dreamt of securing his services with less than 50M.
And somebody said that some Saudi team was trying to get him and hijack the deal. No man. This deal was done a while ago already. And Chukwueze didn’t want to ruin his career in a country that doesn’t compete in any real high level championship.
