AC Milan have officially made their second offer to AZ Alkmaar for midfielder Tijjani Reijnders and remain confident, according to reliable sources.
The majority of outlets have claimed that Milan made an initial offer for Reijnders which was turned down by AZ Alkmaar as they hold out for a bigger fee, but there have been suggestions that a new bid is being prepared.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update. He claims that Milan have now submitted a new formal offer to the Dutch club which is €20m as the fixed amount plus add-ons.
AZ Alkmaar asked for €25m after an initial request of €20m fixed fee as per Romano. The player is pushing for the move to get done and Milan are ‘confident’.
According to Matteo Moretto of Relevo, Milan are indeed advancing for Reijnders. The Rossoneri have just offered €20m plus €5m in bonuses while AZ continue to ask for a bit more. The clubs are ‘close’ and talks are ongoing.
Im not opposing this deal and think it could be a fine move if he can keep up the level from the dutch league and addapts well to serie a.
This AZ raising price from 20m euro to 25m euro . If they raising it again to 30m euro better leave this deal
Maybe it would’ve been closed by now had Milan quickly paid that 20 mil. Had AZ initially asked for 50 mil, Milan would go as high as offering 35 mil.. Likewise if they demand 8 mil for the same player , Milan would offer 4.5 mil. Sometimes you should say “alright that 20 mil is kinda fair but 18 mil is fairer” they will see that you’re not playing around and even if you would never go above that 18 mil and miss out on the player, you’ll eventually build a reputation for not accepting crap from other clubs and they’ll start taking you more seriously when negotiating. But Milan always want to create that big gap and then slowwwly bridge it, frustrating the other club and everyone along.
You should follow the advice of your own name on here. Calm down. Milan have shown they are moving quicker. They were quick for Loftus-Cheek and Pulisic. There is some assessment to how much this player is worth. We can’t just blow a ton of money all at once as there are many investments needed.
