Romano confirms Milan are being ‘informed’ regarding talented defender

Yet another reliable source has confirmed that AC Milan have a strong interest in signing defender Juan Miranda from Real Betis.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move to sign Real Betis left-back Juan Miranda including Barcelona and Newcastle United, and now Fabrizio Romano has given an update on things in the latest edition of his exclusive column for the Daily Briefing.

He confirmed that the Spaniard is on Milan’s radar at the moment, given that they did not sign a new left-back in the summer to become the deputy to Theo Hernandez, instead trusting Davide Bartesaghi for the position.

As other sources have suggested, Romano claims that the Rossoneri have an advanced interest in the 23-year-old, who is only under contract until the end of the season which certainly helps their negotiating position.

“AC Milan are informed on the situation of Juan Miranda. They’re keeping tabs on the Real Betis left-back, waiting to see what happens,” Romano said in the column.

“For sure he’s in the list at Milan. Despite rumours, I’m not aware of Newcastle proposals at this stage but the situation remains open.”

  1. The coach should sell thiaw to realmadrid or any team at all and rely on Kjaer and tomori they are the perfect competence very solid in defence

    1. As a dane i adore kjær and have no issues in keeping him for another year than his current contract lasts but come on thiaw is the new starter but that doesnt exclude that kjær also can play some games here and there especially as we will compete on 3 fronts.

  2. If Miranda is reportedly of interest to clubs like Barcelona and Newcastle, he must of pretty good quality. I can’t help but think that if we make a push and sign Miranda in January it can only mean the eventual sale of Theo in the summer, as he will have two years on his contract at that point.

  3. Very good player, capable of delivering quality performance in absence of Theo.

Please also sign Dodo from Fiorentina for RB and our full back position will be sorted.

Bennacer’s return should complete the midfield department, except if Krunic leaves.

    So essentially, we will require:
    1 RB
    1 LB
    1 CB
    1 CF

We could require between 70-80m to complete these transfers.

  4. I was just watching ‘a fistfull of dynamite (1971)’ yesterday and one of the lead was Juan Miranda. Smoll world
