Jacobs: Milan, Leeds and Napoli keen on Wolves winger with unclear future

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are one of the teams looking into a potential deal for winger Adama Traore who could leave Wolves at the end of the season.

According to what is being reported by Ben Jacobs in his CaughtOffside Daily Briefing on SubStack, Traore will become a free agent once the season ends as things stand and he has drawn attention from a number of clubs.

Leeds United could present him with an option to stay in the Premier League, while Atalanta, Milan and even Serie A champions Napoli are interested in signing the Spaniard.

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui has made no secret he wants Traore to stay, but previous negotiations have not led to clarity over his future suggesting that an exit cannot be ruled out, at which point the interested clubs could pounce.

Romano adds that Wolves ‘are going to look pretty different next season’ with several familiar faces and senior players departing, suggesting they too might let the 27-year-old go.

He has 3 goals and 2 assists in 39 games this season across all competitions, which is not a particularly impressive return it must be said.

  1. He is out of contract in June, if we can get him for a low salary, let’s go for him. He is definitely better than Messias, he is quicker and younger.

Sell Messias, keep Alexis and sign Traore + high profile RW

We need squad depth – this season we had Alexis, Messias, Rebic and Diaz playing as RW (Rebic and Diaz only a couple of times) but it shows that we should not have only 2 players for one position.

Troare can also play as LW.

  2. Milan wants a winger with better stats then Messias and Salemakaers the we get linked with this guy that has worse stats then Salemakaers and Messias if there was any true in this report AC Milan is better of keep going with Salemakaers and Messias wich are used to the team and league!

  3. 3 goals & 2 asist ?? In 39 games? Wow thats amazing statistic. More worst than junior & saladmaker. Skip, just use Brahim ( if ACM buy him from Real Madrid) as RW or buy ziyech from chelsea if ACM not buying Brahim

  4. This player frustrates me. I’ve seen him play a lot in the Prem. He looks the part, quick and strong, but his stats and returns are poor. Its almost like he needs something to click in his head or with his team, but hes not exactly a teenager. Still, as another commenter said, we do need depth, and he could replace Messias – if only to give us fans a bit of hope that with change we will improve.
