AC Milan have been touted as a potential destination for Amad Diallo, though it seems a coup will be difficult to pull off.
As is often the case when a manager joins a new club, the newspapers hypothesise about the possibility of them taking players with them, from Sporting CP or Manchester United in the case of Ruben Amorim. This is especially the case with the involvement of agent Jorge Mendes.
There have already been links with the likes of Francisco Trincao, Morten Hjulmand and Goncalo Inacio. The latest one instead involves someone that Amorim got to know well at Old Trafford and who in turn already knows Serie A: Amad Diallo.
United want to keep Diallo
According to Fabrizio Romano‘s latest video update, United have no intention of letting Diallo go anywhere this summer, which effectively puts to bed any chances of a reunion with Amorim.
“We had some rumours from Italy about Amad Diallo and whether he could go to AC Milan with Ruben Amorim,” began Romano.
“Let me clarify one thing: Manchester United have been very clear. He is not for sale this summer. They will not let Amad leave.
“They want to continue with him and Michael Carrick has confirmed his decision with the club. The direction is very clear: Amad Diallo is expected to stay at Manchester United.”
