Romano: Milan probe ground over deal for €15m Spurs defender; Schick no longer a target

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have contacted Spurs to sound out the possibility of signing right-back Serge Aurier in the summer, according to a report.

Fabrizio Romano’s latest for Calciomercato.com confirms that after the final game of the 2019-20 season on Saturday night, Milan are already starting to think about the future.

One of the areas that needs to be addressed in the upcoming summer transfer window is the right-back spot, as one of Davide Calabria or Andrea Conti will leave as both have failed to convince for long periods.

The latest idea to come in and be the new starter is Serge Aurier of Tottenham, a player that Paolo Maldini has followed since last year.

The ground has been probed in recent days, but at the moment he is the only natural right-back available to Jose Mourinho and as such the asking price of the 28-year-old is €15m.

Meanwhile, with the non-arrival of Ralf Rangnick the track leading to Patrik Schick has now gone cold.
