AC Milan remain insistent on signing a new centre-forward and Tammy Abraham is the leading name at the moment, according to a report.
Milan secured the signing of Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid last month and at present Luka Jovic is the back-up option after his contract was extended, but reports have suggested that the management want another option for the new head coach Paulo Fonseca.
According to the latest from Fabrizio Romano, Milan ‘want Tammy Abraham as new striker and the plan remains clear since July 12’. Talks with Roma are ‘to follow’ and he adds that Niclas Füllkrug was never close as Milan want a ‘different kind of striker’.
Sky recently reported that Fonseca considers Abraham to be ideal for the way he wants to play and a great complement to Morata, whereas Fullkrug is more of a target man and this is perhaps not what the new coach is looking for.
Abraham meanwhile has given his approval to the idea of joining Milan and at the moment he is not considering Premier League teams that have knocked on his door like Everton and West Ham United. He wants to bounce back after a difficult last season with Roma following a long-term knee injury.
Every rumor suggests that Jonathan David can be done for 25M and we are spending on a player that we don’t even know can do the thing he did before his injury. If he lost his speed and pace, I don’t see any sense in going for him. J.David has dry spells, but with Morata he can grow with less stress and pressure.
I too am bewildered by that, maybe JD wants guaranteed 1st team football or maybe Fonseca see an issue there.
I think Chiesa too would be good X factor player to have as back up to Leao or a second striker and a loan with an option to buy could be good for all concerned especially as the mercato is moving on and any possible suitors would have already bid on him
I think that might have been the case at some point but Saelemakers improved so much that Fonseca wants to keep him now. Pulisic will shift to N10 from time-to-time to make space.

It’s confusing too to see David not even in our radar this TW. For the longest time he’s always been linked with Milan. And moreover Fonseca was his last coach so he should know him inside out. Plus David is on his last year of contract, the favorite kind of deal for this current management.
David by most accounts specifically wants England (and his agent probably happy for English team money), I don’t think he’s an option for Milan

Broken ACL won’t reduce speed one bit. It’s just a ligament that basically does NOTHING when running straight.
You never know how it healed, it can be recursive which is also very bad for us.
They rarely are (recursive).
Fun fact which google revealed: “Up to 14% of patients go on to suffer a graft rupture, which is an ACL re-rupture”.
So… 8-9 out of 10 will not have any problems after proper rehabilitation. I was one of those.

Give the guy a chance, at least he wants to play as a team not base all the play on individuals, Pioli’s biggest shortcomings were that he wanted to win matches on moments, thereby you are dependent on individuals like Leao & Co to do it week in week out, but when they don’t chances are you loose or draw, but Fonseca play is team based. So consistency can be achieved and this is what you need to win.
Ppl will cite Cappalo and Sacchi as having won nothing, but I find Fonseca fascinating and Pioli had reached the end…
How r u so sure he’s not going to end up basing the game on individual play? We haven’t seen them play with Leao, Theo and co. I can bet you money that he’ll resort to punting it to Leao. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, as we have Puli to take advantage of that now. So far, we “look” like a team based game because we don’t have many individual winners in the team

If Fonseca really want this guy and he is cure from his injury I would offer 10 milions with no other counterparts. Take it or leave it ! You give me the final answer next morning, so in case we don’t make the deal I can move on to other strikers.
