Romano: Milan submit bid for 19-year-old Bologna midfielder who could join first team

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have submitted a bid to sign Demirel Hodzic from Bologna and they hope to have him as part of the Milan Futuro side soon, a report claims.

The Coppa Italia Serie C match against Lecco last Saturday was a historic occasion for Bonera and his team quite literally, given that it was the first professional game that the Milan Futuro will play having been launched over the summer, and they won it 3-0.

Some fresh faces have been introduced too. Most recently Milan announced the signing of Samuele Longo for the U23 team, and the veteran striker joins Matteo Dutu (18, CB), Davide Mastrantonio (20, GK), Gabriele Minotti (21, CB), Mattia Sandri (23, CM) and Mbarick Fall (27, ST) as the new signings so far.

According to the latest from Fabrizio Romano, sporting director Jovan Kirovski is not done their either as the club have submitted a bid to sign 19-year-old midfielder Demirel Hodzic from Bologna.

Negotiations are ongoing and he could be part of the Milan Futuro youth side but also the wider first team group too. Hodzic signed with Miro Jaganjac & Daniel Majstorovic as his new agents, which is perhaps a suggestion that he is looking to take the next step in his career.

  1. Why? We already have too many midfielders. The squad is all set now. We could even offload a few players. Having a bunch of players unhappy about not getting playing time is not good for morale.
