Romano: Milan winger to complete Besiktas move worth €2m this weekend

Ante Rebic is set to leave the AC Milan experience behind him and join the Turkish side Besiktas. An agreement has been reached between the clubs and he transfer will be completed this weekend, a report claims.

The relationship between Rebic and Stefano Pioli deteriorated towards the end of last season, resulting in the Croatian getting excluded from the squad a couple of times. He was also excluded from this summer’s pre-season tour in the US.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan have reached an agreement with Benfica over a deal worth €2m in total, including bonuses. Rebic will sign a two-year deal with the Turkish side and should complete the move this weekend.

Milan will register a capital gain of around €2m, depending on the bonuses, but they will also save €9.18m gross in wages. That would have been two very expensive years for a player who isn’t even part of the project anymore.
