Romano: Negotiations between Milan and Schalke for defender are ‘really difficult’

Milan have set their sights on Ozan Kabak. The 20-year-old has been linked with the club in the past and is now back on their radar. However, with just a few days left of the mercato, there isn’t much time for the Rossoneri.

According to Daniele Longo, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have made an opening offer of €15m plus bonuses. The German side, however, are asking for €25m to part ways with the centre-back. A gap that perhaps could be bridged.

As Fabrizio Romano explains it, it won’t be easy for Milan. Kabak’s agents were at Casa Milan earlier today to discuss the deal, but it’s a very complicated one. It has to be on a permanent deal but the negotiations are ‘really difficult’.

The Rossoneri are in desperate need of a centre-back and Schalke know this. They would be foolish not to use it to their advantage, so it remains to be seen if an agreement can be reached between the clubs.
