Romano: Rebic makes decision on Milan future after Boban’s departure

By Isak Möller -

Joining AC Milan on a two-year loan last summer, the fans had high hopes about Ante Rebic. After a rocky first half of the season, he certainly managed to pick himself up, becoming a key player for the Rossoneri.

As Calciomercato.com’s Fabrizio Romano states, the Croatian felt dismissed at the beginning. However, his goals before the season was brought to a halt was also the start of his change mentally.

Zvone Boban brought him to the club and now the director has been sacked due to the differences with CEO Ivan Gazidis. Still, as the report continues, the idea of Rebic is to remain at Milan for next season as well.

The striker isn’t looking to run away and would honour the loan agreement, but only on one condition. In fact, he wants total clarity on his future with Milan. Basically, if the latter intend to redeem him or not once the loan is over.

Keeping Rebic for one more year, without agreeing on a price with Frankfurt, could result in an increase. Therefore, it remains to be seen if Milan will start negotiations with the German side already this summer.
