Romano: Reijnders expected to join Milan ‘soon’ as second offer is tabled

Tijjani Reijnders is one of the priorities for AC Milan on the mercato and yesterday, they tabled their second offer for the player. Negotiations are progressing and the move could be completed soon, a report claims.

Reijnders has been identified as the ideal reinforcement for the midfield, following the departure of Sandro Tonali and the serious injury of Ismael Bennacer. After Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the Dutchman could thus be the second midfielder to arrive.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Reijnders is expected to join the Rossoneri soon as the negotiations are advanced, while the player himself is pushing for the move. The offer tabled yesterday is worth €20m plus bonuses and an agreement is getting closer.

AZ Alkmaar have been playing hardball in the negotiations over the 24-year-old but it seems Milan have managed to break them down a little. Reijnders will not be taking part in today’s friendly for the Dutch side and that is another big signal.
