Romano responds to speculation on Man Utd defender: “Milan have now been linked”

By Oliver Fisher -

Harry Maguire does face an uncertain future at Manchester United but AC Milan are not currently in talks over a deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

TalkSport reported earlier in the week that Milan are among a number of teams in Italy that are looking into the idea of signing Maguire, who continues to be a bench player under Erik ten Hag having lost his starting spot.

In his latest column for CaughtOffside on Substack, Romano confirms that Maguire is facing an uncertain future at United and there was the possibility of moving to West Ham during the summer transfer window.

The journalist acknowledges that Milan ‘have now been linked with an interest’ in the England international, but adds that he is ‘not aware of contacts between Milan and Maguire so far’.

The Rossoneri management are working on different positions as a priority right now, and nothing concrete is happening yet with Maguire and any other club.

Closer to January, things may change for the defender, but he doesn’t seem to be on Milan’s list based on what Romano is saying.

  1. I would ask the management not to do this, a lot of good things have been done in the last 5-6 years, don’t allow us to become fools because of one transfer
