Romano: Tonali open to Milan move despite having agreement with Inter for months – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a concrete interest in Sandro Tonali and are trying their best to sign him, according to Fabrizio Romano’s latest for Calciomercato.com.

He claims that Milan are pushing to try and sign Tonali and Inter are slowing down, despite the fact they reached an agreement with him on a contract back in April.

Tonali enthusiastically said yes to Inter, but four months down the line the Nerazzurri have not closed the deal with Brescia because they have other incoming priorities, in addition to the need to sell more redundant players.

Milan have put forward an offer for Tonali that Cellino has not yet accepted, but which could be further improved in the next few days and may be enough to close the deal.

For his part, Tonali has not betrayed a pact with Inter, on the contrary he has waited to the bitter end but today he is also open to joining Milan. He simply wants to leave a club in Serie B and feel important in Serie A.

If Milan manage to convince everyone – the player and Cellino – then the race will be over, to the delight of the Rossoneri management who are trying seriously to make a statement signing.
