Sandro Tonali’s move to Newcastle United will soon be made official after the clubs resolved all the final details, according to reports.
According to what is being reported by Fabrizio Romano, Tonali to Newcastle can now have ‘here we go’ status. An agreement was found between the two clubs, with the Premier League side paying a €70m fee with add-ons.
Milan will also have a sell-on clause too meaning they will net a percentage of the proceeds from any future resale, and the documents are being prepared for things to be made official.
Tonali will sign contract until 2029 worth €7m net per year and a potential €2m per year in add-ons, which means it is a record sale for an Italian player in football history.
The €70m transfer fee plus the €9m net per season deal for six years takes the deal up to a potential cost of €124m for Newcastle, as a net amount.

super league = premier league
Pretty soon it’s going to be
Super league = Saudi league
Lol just watched Newcastle fan explaining that the deal is 70mil paid over 6years. So Milan wont even get 70mil right away for the most promising DM in the world. Nice. This means that Cardinale don’t even plan to reinvest. He is just trying to squize out as much money as posible from the club. I won’t be supraised if this teams ends up in Eliot hands again. Or maybe Eliot never even left…
you watched a Newcastle fan explain lol….
you are one small-minded person.
its called amortization, every club does this. The (70+)M euro are available for Milan – how? because they too account for amortization.
Pick up a book and read something…
So you just screamed offensive words and then confirmed what the Newcastle fan said. Milan is not getting 70mil now. Good for Newcastle bad for Milan. Good luck convincing Sasuolo or some other team to sign similar deals and wait for your amortization. Milan can spend 300mil if they want to but in the end they need to come even bot.
You don’t even know how the ownership is set up.
Cardinale can’t just take money out of the club. He would have to issue dividends to the shareholders. That’s not some secret move he can do under the radar.
AC Milan get the money from the sale, not Gerry Cardinale. If AC Milan don’t reinvest it in this mercato, it’s still in AC Milan’s bank accounts.
If you want to be taken seriously, you have to at least know what you’re talking about. You can criticize Cardinale and RedBird all you want, but when you’re completely misinformed it just makes it look like all the criticism is from clueless fans.
Sure, as if there isn’t loop holes in the business sector. We have seen shady business in football before you know, but you wouldn’t remember since you started watching football this summer. Also Cardinale has no intention of making money he just came here for the love of the club that he didn’t even know that it exists a year ago, right. US Soccer lol, give me a brake. And you don’t have to comment from multiple accounts. We get it you are here to cheer for the ownership.
Eliot still await the last 600 million from the sale. Cardinale could use players sale to extract money and repay Elliott.
Now what ever they do(buy/sale) we will wait until the end of the next season. if they faille out.. or loose fanbase
Cardinale can’t touch a single penny form the club for he’s personal use, don’t understand what is he squeezing at this point
Its so sad redbird acquisition of milan has turned into a nightmare, from trowing away the title now this😡
Yeah. Now we gonna enter another dark age and for how long?! 😔
Just 70m? What is Furlani doing?
Reading is fundamental.
“An agreement was found between the two clubs, with the Premier League side paying a €70m fee with add-ons.
“Milan will also have a sell-on clause too meaning they will net a percentage of the proceeds from any future resale, and the documents are being prepared for things to be made official.”
Add ons and sell on clause are not guaranteed. They also can’t be used for current transfer market.
Does Brescia have a sell-on clause?
Probably 😔
Yes Brescia gets 20%
@Yelnats24 Don’t waste your time with this bots. You see they are all new accounts who are trying to do damage control. They are not really Milan fans.
I am reffering to DJS, not the later replays, just to make it clear.
I see some Cardinale balls lickers already working defending him.
They’re out in abundance, gross
yup, we have people clamoring for weakening the club when we had a season that proved we needed to add to the previous year’s team. Adding more holes to plug.
From the financial side, this certainly looks like a good deal. On the emotional side, many of us here are not happy to lose valuable players. The important thing is to invest this money wisely this summer. Now let Moncada show why he was trusted !
Lol you’re too naive to believe that Moncada or whoever in charge as director now gonna spend those money to buy quality players.
So if Brescia get 20% so we get 56m at the end of it and it’s paid over time and we get a 40m player to replace him so we net somewhere around 16m, which is around what we paid for him so it’s a wash… and you think this is good business? Losing our main midfielder and milanista for an unknown replacement and not even much true profit if any… great work wow.
I think we paid around 25mil for Tonali in total with the loan deals and all. The real profit is in not buying a 40mil mid to replace him lol. Its sad for us Milan fans, but i really doubt that they will bring a top mid to replace Tonali.
Agreed. And even if the replacement is a good player they still won’t be a milanista or very low likelihood and they definitely won’t be italian so we keep losing there…
Exactly.
Theo is next. Plan is to take the milanisti out of Milan and you’re left with a heartless business just the way cardinale and RedTurd want it. Disgusting.
so sad watching him soon leave us. get our 70m and buy SMS.
We don’t even get the 70 lmfao that’s the worst part, Brescia gets 20% from the sale
Sell on clause means one of two things.
1. We going to be rolling in money once Tonali in his prime negotiates his biggest contract., or
2. WE get a big discount when things don’t work out for him and we buy him back.
Win-Win.
Or he does well at Newcastle and stays for a long time and we get nothing more.
