Samuel Chukwueze only wanted to join AC Milan this summer once he heard of their interest, it has been revealed.
According to the latest from Fabrizio Romano on his Daily Briefing, Chukwueze never had anything very concrete in the pipeline regarding a move to England despite links with Premier League clubs over the years.
It was only ever some meetings with his agents, while Milan were ‘always the player’s priority’ and the 24-year-old wanted to join Milan because of their project and because he will be an untouchable starter with the Rossoneri.
The journalist reported that Chukwueze will sign a deal until June 2028, while the Rossoneri management have agreed a fee around €20m plus €8m in bonuses with their Spanish counterparts.
Milan have been in the market for a new right winger this summer and Chukwueze has always been the first choice, given he amassed 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions last season for the Yellow Submarine.
