RR: Board meeting called to approve purchase of land for new stadium

The new stadium project continues for AC Milan with the intention of breaking ground as quickly as possibly, and a board meeting has been called regarding a key detail.

Radio Rossonera reported earlier today that a key signature should soon arrive from the Council of San Donato and the Lombardy Region, and now they have provided more information on their website.

The Milan leadership called a Board of Directors meeting today to approve the acquisition of the land in the San Francesco part of the region of San Donato Milanese, the area in which Milan wants to build its new stadium.

The purchase of the deeds should take place in the next few weeks, only and exclusively after having received the approval of the club’s Board of Directors given that it requires an investment.

It is the first of three full days of events related to the stadium which will end on Thursday with the Council’s signature on the resolution for the urban planning variant to the project.

That is the first concrete and decisive step to definitively start the process which will then continue with the approval of the City Council and the working table with the Lombardy Region for the program agreement.
