RR: Kadıoğlu, Hartman and Martinez – three full-backs attract Milan’s interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been linked with a number of strikers and centre-backs recently, but the full-back position also appears to be one that they are targeting reinforcements in.

According to Radio Rossonera, the Milan management could try sign a full-back as early as the January window with Quilindschy Hartman of Feyenoord, Arnau Martinez Lopez of Girona and Ferdi Erenay Kadıoğlu of Fenerbahce on the list.

These are the three players that all follow the line taken by the RedBird Capital, i.e. young talents with a moderate cost and the possibility of growing to become part of the future core or sold for a profit.

After the departure of Fodé Ballo-Touré, a deputy to Theo Hernandez is needed given the only alternative at the moment is the inexperienced Davide Bartesaghi. Hartman is a naturally left-sided defender, while Kadioglu can play either side and Martinez is a right-back.

Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio are on the lookout for the right profile to come in and boost the depth, given that Theo has been forced to work overtime this season.

Kadioglu was born in the Netherlands and player for NEC Nijmegen but made the choice to play for Turkey, while he has a characteristic that differentiates him from the others.

In the 206 matches he has played as a professional, Kadioglu was deployed 56 times as a central attacking midfielder, 44 as a right winger, 23 as a left winger, 29 as a full-back (right and left) and 33 as a midfielder. Flexibility, something Pioli likes.
