AC Milan have made an offer to Barcelona for defender Emerson Royal, according to a report, but it appears to be short of the asking price.
It is seemingly no secret that the Rossoneri are still in the market for a new right-back this summer despite Pierre Kalulu’s arrival from Lyon on a five-year deal. Andrea Conti and Davide Calabria have both struggled for consistency all season, meaning a new starter is expected to arrive in addition to the Frenchman.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com (via MilanLive), Milan have made their first moves to fix the problem as they met the two representatives of Barcelona’s Emerson on Friday.
Promoesport agents Graziano Battistini and Sebastiano Salaroli were sent by the Brazilian’s entourage to deal with Emerson’s possible move to the Rossoneri.
Emerson will most likely leave Real Betis, even if his loan runs for another year.
According to Radio Rossonera’s Simone Cristao on Twitter, Milan had proposed a loan deal, an idea that was instantly rejected.
Then, Milan made an offer of €22-23m to buy him outright, but the Catalan giants are standing firm on their €30m asking price.
The asking price is very reasonable! Personally, I would not sell a player of great perspective!
