RR: Milan’s record breaking U17 team – the future of the Primavera

AC Milan have an increasingly impressive Primavera squad, and the talent currently playing for the Under-17 side are creating excitement about their futures, with them having a record-breaking season.

There is a lot of optimism about the future of the Primavera set-up, and there are a few close to graduating to the senior side regularly, if not moving on. Then, there will be spots to fill, and the Under-17 side may be looked at to fill the gaps.

As Radio Rossonera reports, after 21 matches in the U17 Championship, the side have 18 wins and two draws this season and sits on 56 points, 17 ahead of 2nd-placed Inter. What makes this even more impressive is that the side have scored 61 goals so far, averaging almost three goals a game, and they have only conceded 15 times.

Their 3-2 victory against Cagliari at the weekend highlighted, again, some of the most impressive talents in the team. Firstly, Lorenzo Ossola, the midfielder born in 2007, scored his 13th goal of the season, and defender Federico Comotto, also born in 2007, scored. The third goal was scored by Francesco Domnitei, the 16-year-old scored his second of the season in his 10th appearance.

With the Rossoneri heavily interested in creating a team to enter into Serie C, potentially some of the most impressive names from the record-breaking U17 team could be given chances to impress within that side.
