Sacchi claims Milan are ‘experiencing a moment of confusion’ as Pioli must ‘bring back his ideas’

Former AC Milan boss Arrigo Sacchi believes the Rossoneri are suffering from a moment of confusion as their form has dipped in recent weeks.

The Rossoneri started the season as the early pacesetters in Serie A along with Napoli but they have won just two of their last five games, including defeats against Fiorentina and Sassuolo and a draw against Udinese in their most recent game. This has led to doubts about whether the squad – especially given the injury problems they are battling – are capable of going on to win the Scudetto.

Sacchi spoke during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport about the Rossoneri and whether they have the credentials to go on and fight for the title given the strength of Inter and Atalanta plus Napoli too who are Sunday’s opponents, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“The fight is still open. Milan are experiencing a moment of confusion after the defeat in the Champions League, but if Pioli is able to touch the right keys he will be able to bring back his ideas that have made them grow enormously in recent years,” he said.
