Sacchi praises ‘devastating’ Kessie and Leao in Milan’s win over Salernitana

AC Milan claimed all three points at San Siro yesterday in the game against Salernitana. They had zero issues with the task, in fact, as they took the lead early and then remained in control for the entire game.

Although it was a very convenient performance for Milan, who didn’t have to put much energy into it, a few players stood out. Franck Kessie and Alexis Saelemaekers scored the goals, so they were rightfully praised afterwards.

Then, the likes of Alessandro Florenzi and Rafael Leao also performed on a high level. The latter was taken off at HT due to a minor issue but during that first half, he was able to make his way through the opponents with great fluidity.

Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, former Milan manager Arrigo Sacchi shared his thoughts on the game. He highlighted the aforementioned players and especially Kessie and Leao.

“Too much of a difference between the Rossoneri and Salernitana. Some things, however, I appreciated. For example, Leao and Kessie did devastating things. Florenzi seems to be growing. The team seems to be doing well, but the defenders, I will never get tired of saying it, have to climb faster in order to further shorten the distances between the departments,” he stated.
