Sky: Saelemaekers and Pobega expected to win position battles and start vs. Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

It is two days until AC Milan take on their city rivals Inter in the Derby della Madonnina, and some indications are arriving on how the team might line up.

According to reports from Sky (via MilanNews), Pioli will change formation and should switch to a 4-3-3 system in order to give more protection to the defence and also to help cope without the injured Ismael Bennacer.

In the middle of the field without Bennacer it should be Sandro Tonali and Rade Krunic occupying two of the three spots, and at the moment Tommaso Pobega has the advantage over Aster Vranckx for the third spot.

In attack, Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud are virtually guaranteed of their places on the left and down the centre of the front three respectively, while it seems that on the right wing the chances of seeing Alexis Saelemaekers over Junior Messias or Brahim Diaz are increasing.
