Alexis Saelemaekers believes that the trip to Dubai is an important one for AC Milan as they prepare for the season to resume.
Today is the last day that the team will be in the United Arab Emirates having arrived back on December 10 for some warm weather winter training ahead of the game against Salernitana on January 4 that will see the season resume.
Saelemaekers was present at an event in Dubai organised by Milan together with the fans, and he spoke to Milan TV with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
“Milan is a family with a great history, it is important for us to come here for our fans, who are not only in Italy. We are very happy to be here,” he said.
“I feel very good, in the match [vs. Liverpool] I didn’t feel anything. I worked hard to come back strong and today I’m very happy to help the team again.
“It is important for us to do things together, these experiences are very important for the whole team and for the whole group, we are like a family. It’s not easy to work when there’s such heat, but we’re working well and I think the team is already ready.”
