Alexis Saelemaekers has confirmed that he is back at AC Milan to stay, and he feels a desire to give something back to the club.
The decision was made just under a year ago to let Saelemaekers go out on loan, and he headed to Roma with Tammy Abraham coming the other way. He became a star under Claudio Ranieri, amassing 14 goal contributions (seven goals, seven assists) overall after a tough first half of the season.

After that kind of form it was no surprise that the Giallorossi wanted to explore a permanent deal, but talks ended abruptly last month. The Belgian is now expected to stay with Milan for the upcoming campaign, with Massimiliano Allegri believed to be an admirer of his versatility.
Saelemaekers spoke to Milan TV at the end of today’s training session at Milanello alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Youssouf Fofana. His words are via MilanNews.
“Now I’m here to stay. I’m happy to be back, I missed it. Now we’re going to do something big this year. It was an experience for me to go on loan to other clubs, this one also made me grow,” he said.
“I have this feeling of taking something back here and I hope to do it with the whole team. It’s always nice to see all the people here at Milanello, it’s like a family. I’m happy about this too.”

Players are professionals, numbers and data in an algorithm. They only die for the shirt that pays their wages. Only at the end of his career will we know, in his autobiography, which club he actually loved.
Could be one of our best players next season if given the opportunity. Looked lethal in preseason last year. And said it before I reckon he’s needed in the dressing room. Can be used on both wings to give leao and pulisic rest and better at defensive duties than Mr leao. Don’t loan him out again!
