Salernitana dealt huge injury blow ahead of Milan clash – the situation

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will play three friendlies this month to prepare for the resumption of Serie A. On January 4, they will face Salernitana and the latter have been dealt a huge injury blow in view of that game.

The Rossoneri will take on Arsenal, Liverpool and PSV Eindhoven this month in order to get into shape for the Salernitana clash. Even though they are the favourites to win, it will still be important to regain the fitness level for the second half of the season.

As was confirmed by Salernitana yesterday, their goalkeeper Luigi Sepe has sustained a calf injury and will be out for around two months. It’s a huge blow for the club, especially given Sepe’s quality (as we have seen against Milan before).

In fact, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio on PazzidiFanta, Salernitana will turn to the market and sign a new goalkeeper. Gollini, Berisha and Cragno are the targets but it’s uncertain if they will get a move done before the Milan game.
