Sales boom follows Milan’s debut in new fourth kit – all the numbers

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s new fourth kit in collaboration with PUMA and Kochè – which debuted on Sunday night in the win over Atalanta – has had a boom in sales already.

As per a press release from the club, the majority of the sales have been to fans abroad (53%) and the younger generation (60% under 30). The three most requested players in terms of customisation (name and number printing) are Theo Hernandez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sandro Tonali.

Theo was the ‘scorer’ of the first goal (even if it went down as an own-goal) in the 2-0 win over Atalanta, while Zlatan returned to the pitch after a long period out, as did Mike Maignan which resulted in large demand for the golden goalkeeper jersey.

In terms of markets, the United States (18.2%), France (10.6%), Germany (8.7%) and China (6.1%) are the countries that are driving the sales success, which has now sold out on the online store in the authentic version.
