Santiago Gimenez has insisted that his ‘story’ with AC Milan has only just begun, after his mixed first few months with the club.
The Mexican striker was the big signing of Milan’s winter transfer window, with over €30m paid out in order to land him from Feyenoord. He made 19 appearances for the Rossoneri and scored six goals, five of which in Serie A and one in the Champions League.

He has struggled to score regularly and consistently, but in an interview earlier this month the 24-year-old made it clear how he sees this season as a learning experience. Gimenez also went into great detail about how he uses analytics to try and gain an edge.
Gimenez posted an end of season message on his Instagram profile, and it was very much centred around coming back stronger in 2025-26, as the team hope to do.
“Living a dream I had since I was a child… This story has just begun, see you soon, with more strength and more hunger. Forza Milan!” he said.

As Pippo Inzaghi himself pointed out – someone who knows all about what it takes to score goals for Milan – Gimenez arrived into a new league with big pressure, so this really is the start of his story.
One goal ever 130 minutes in the league doesn’t sound inconsistent to me? Issue has been with the coach and the inconsistent minutes for him.
