Watch: Santiago Gimenez scores stunning first goal for AC Milan with curling finish

With just under 15 minutes left on the clock, Milan doubled their advantage and it was a dream moment for Santiago Gimenez off the bench.

All the credit for the set-up must again go to Pulisic for his hold-up play on the break and his feed, just like can be said for Rafael Leao’s opener not long before.

The American found the Mexican who settled the ball well just inside the box, cutting in on to his left foot and unleashing a powerful curling shot that had Vasquez well beaten.

  1. Let’s hope the first of many. Remember Morata scored early into his Milan career then went off the boil.

Gimenez seems a more natural goalscorer though, the worry is he wouldn’t make the “step up” from Eridivisie. But he’s the right age, am confident in a year from now we’ll say yes Milan finally have a no.9 to follow in the footsteps of Inzaghi, Sheva, Weah etc

    1. Gimenez is more a goalscorer. And he’s a different player than Morata. Morata probably would have been good more as a second striker. Morata has never had an amazing goal scorer.
