Santos president confirms Juve talks and reveals truth about Kaio Jorge’s contract

Recently, there has been a lot of confusion regarding the future of Kaio Jorge, with several teams interest including Milan. The president of Santos has now clarified the situation and the contract terms.

It seems Milan have taken a step back in their pursuit of the 19-year-old, whose contract will expire in December. In recent days, some reports suggested that Santos had a deal until 2023 but as it turns out, this isn’t true.

In an interview with Estadio97, as cited by MilanNews, Andres Rueda spoke about the situation. The president of Santos explained that they are in negotiations with Juventus, also confirming that the contract will expire in December.

“We are negotiating with Juve for Kaio. We haven’t decided whether he will be sold outright immediately or if he will leave in January when the contract expires. We don’t want to sell him, but we find ourselves obliged to do so because of the contract,” he stated.

A few days ago, MilanNews reported that Milan only want to sign the striker on a free transfer or with minimum compensation now. They won’t take part in any auction and they are ready to move on to other targets if needed.
