AC Milan shouldn’t be underestimated: this was the message that Maurizio Sarri sent to his team, Juventus, ahead of the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg. As big favourites to win the game, this might be a wise attitude.
The Rossoneri will be forced to play without Theo Hernandez, Samu Castillejo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which is a big blow for the team. Stefano Pioli is working hard to find the best solutions for what can only be described as a tough game.
Juventus managed to score a late equaliser in the first leg, giving themselves an advantage with the away goal. In other words, Milan will have to get on the scoresheet and a lot of pressure will be put on Ante Rebic’s shoulders.
The decisive game will kick off at 21:00 on Friday. Bianconeri manager Maurizio Sarri spoke to Sky Italia (via Milanlive.it), urging his side not to get too comfortable.
“The matches against Milan have all been difficult this year, both in the league and in the Coppa Italia. They create difficulties for us and the result of the first leg doesn’t guarantee us anything,” he stated.
