Maurizio Sarri has added his thoughts to the debate about when the penultimate round of Serie A fixtures should be played.
Lega Serie A like games in the final two rounds to kick-off at the same time if there are teams whose results impact each other, such as in the fight for the title (as with Inter and Napoli’s matches last season), the top four and the relegation battle.

On Monday night, it was officially communicated that the games in round 37 involving the teams fighting for the Champions League places would be played simultaneously at 12:30 CEST on Sunday. Problem solved, right?
Apparently not, because reports then surfaced on Tuesday claiming that the Rome Prefecture had moved to block the derby between AS Roma and SS Lazio being played at the same time as a tennis final is taking place, due to public order concerns.
Sarri spoke before arriving at the Quirinale Palace for a meeting between President Sergio Mattarella and the Coppa Italia finalists, and was asked about the decision announced by the Prefecture regarding the Roma-Lazio derby.
“It’s better to play the derby on Monday. It’s better for everyone, including us, who have an extra 24 hours of rest. But also because I believe the four teams playing for €80 million in the Champions League shouldn’t be playing at 12:30 on Sunday,” he said (via MilanNews).

We hardly ever do well playing early Sunday kickoffs.
