Milan Primavera’s season came to an end on Saturday evening as Sassuolo were incredibly efficient in the play-offs quarter-final. Nevertheless, head coach Federico Giudi can be happy with the season as a whole.
Guidi’s boys secured their spot in the play-offs on the final day of the regular season, beating Genoa by three goals to one. As such, some hope emerged regarding an impressive end to the campaign but today, the adventure came to an end at the first hurdle.
Indeed, following a first half with three goals conceded, Milan Primavera failed to make their way back into the quarter-final against Inter. It wasn’t a dreadful first 45 minutes from the Rossoneri, it should be noted, but the Neroverdi were simply too effective.
There were some chances to at least pull one back in the second half, but as the referee blew the whistle for full-time, the score remained 3-0. As such, Milan Primavera’s 2024-25 season came to an end tonight.
That being said, while today’s result was a bit disappointing, Guidi’s boys impressed a lot this season and managed to clinch some very good results. Not to mention that some players moved between the team and the Futuro, which is never ideal.
