Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has revealed that AC Milan directors have spoken to him about a number of Neroverdi players, not just Domenico Berardi.
Carnevali was speaking during an interview with Corriere della Sera (via Milan News) when he was asked about Berardi and Milan’s known interest in the Italian winger.
The CEO began by praising the player who has been a key player at the Mapei Stadium for many years now despite consistently being linked with moves to bigger clubs.
“He is our champion, he established himself by winning the European Championships, this year he scored 15 goals and made 14 assists. I don’t see stronger players in his role,” Carnevali said.
He then revealed that Milan have asked him about several Sassuolo players, not just Berardi.
“Did Milan ask for him? At the time, before the club was at the centre of transfer negotiations, I had met with the directors who had asked about several players. Now with the rumours of the sale of the club everything has been blocked,” he said.
It can be safely assumed that one of the players that Carnevali is referencing it Gianluca Scamacca, the young striker who appears destined to sign for either Milan or Inter.
Talented individuals such as Giacomo Raspadori and Davide Frattesi have also been linked with almost every club above Sassuolo in the Serie A table.
All of their sale player are over Rated and over price. If that while squad more than 100m euro worth like their asking price ,why they still strugle just to finish in 10th serie A?
If you look at the goals scored table, you can see they are easily top5. Their defense is just garbage, and they concede more goals than they should. Their attacking potential is one of the best in the league.
