Sassuolo CEO gives update on Milan target Frattesi: “Many clubs, not just Inter and Roma”

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has revealed that there are multiple clubs in for Davide Frattesi but a satisfactory offer has not yet arrived.

The race to sign Frattesi seems to be back on again. According to our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Marcelo Brozovic’s move to Al-Nassr was needed for Inter to complete the deal for the Sassuolo midfielder, but things have hit the rocks in the last few hours.

This morning, the Rossoneri management met the Neroverdi midfielder’s agent Beppe Riso at Casa Milan, and it is almost certain that discussions over the 24-year-old will have taken place given Milan’s need to sign a couple of players in that position.

Carnevali spoke during an interview on SportMediaset regarding the latest on the future of Frattesi, with his comments relayed by SOSFanta.

“Could today be the right day for Frattesi at Inter? The transfer market starts today, we have to see. We will have a meeting with Inter but with many other clubs, managers of all clubs are expected. The market starts today, we’ll see what happens,” he said.

“At the moment there are possibilities from many clubs, not just Inter and Roma. We are not satisfied with any of the current offers, we believe that the value of Frattesi is higher than the proposals received.

“We are in a favourable position because we made important sales last season. If there are opportunities, fine, otherwise we could continue with Frattesi next year as well.”
