Report: Sassuolo’s Mapei Stadium is sold out for Milan match on Sunday

By Euan Burns -

Sassuolo have announced that all the general sale tickets have now gone for the match against AC Milan on Sunday.

The Neroverdi made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday morning after the online ticket queue had around 100,000 occupants for much of the morning.

Many in the queue will have been Sassuolo fans looking to watch their team’s final game of the season but it was inflated with Rossoneri fans wanting to see their team win the Scudetto in the flesh.

The only tickets that are now available are in the south stand which is reserved for Sassuolo season ticket holders right now. The Mapei Stadium holds just over 21,000 fans.

Sassuolo recently made an announcement that no Milan scarves or shirts are permitted to be worn or shown in the south stand should Rossoneri fans manage to get tickets for that part of the stadium as it will likely lead to crowd trouble.

  1. Last paragraph announcement is so stupid and petty! Sassuolo is lucky their stadium is even sold out. Everyone wants to see Castillejo score a double hat-trick this weekend or what?
