CorSport: Sassuolo set their price as Berardi pushes for exit – Milan at the window

By Oliver Fisher -

This summer could finally be the one that Domenico Berardi leaves Sassuolo, a report claims, and AC Milan are keen on landing him.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the future of Berardi will hang in the balance as soon as the window reopens. He hoped to leave Sassuolo last summer to join a big club and compete for trophies at club level, and now he is ready again this summer.

However, the Neroverdi want to cash in and have set an asking price between €35-40m given that Berardi is on 14 goals for the season and continues to hit double digits in goals and assists.

In the past he has been in the sights of Juventus, Inter, Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina, but it seems like Milan could try when the summer mercato commences. Aurelio De Laurentiis of Napoli is also monitoring things and could launch a move too.

  1. 35-40m euro cash . Over price and only give sassoulo huge capital gain. Doing business with sassoulo always expensive. Hope they found RW that have more quality than berardi

  2. Berardi will never leave Sassuolo . All these rumors connecting him to Milan are made up by media because they know Milan is in the Market for RW. From everything we’ve seen from this management there is very little chance they shell out €35-40 mil on a player, especially not on Berrardi who is 28 and has only performed when he is not under pressure in a small club. He always cones up small for the National team. If he was so good he wouldn’t be still playing for sassuolo while a plethora of his teammates and coaches left for bigger clubs with bigger ambitions
