CM.it: Midfielder unlikely to make €40m Chelsea move – Milan monitoring the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are one of the clubs taking an interest in the situation surrounding Saul Niguez at Chelsea, according to a report.

Calciomercato.it reports how the sanctions against Roman Abramovich and the freezing of the accounts and the operations of the club mean that Chelsea might just have to say goodbye to some players in the summer, especially if they are not allowed to spend still.

One of the players this affects is Saul Niguez who was signed on loan from Atletico Madrid but has not started many games, amasssed 23 total appearances but most of them as a substitute, with Tuchel clearly not a huge admirer.

The option to buy is set at €40m and as it stands currently the player will return to Spain, but it will be difficult for him to stay at Atletico who will consider selling him again. Milan, Inter and Juventus are admirers of his profile and are awaiting further news.

  1. He is good , but i don’t think we can pay his salary more than 5m euro / season . Due to Chelsea freezing account, we cannot buy player from Chelsea except their Loan player from other club . Too bad we cannot sign ziyech next season since Chelsea cannot buy or sell their player

  2. He is not worth Milan paying that amount, we could get other better players, he has lost form, even from last season..
