Stefan Savic believes that AC Milan have made a good investment for the future by signing Andrej Kostic from Partizan Belgrade.
Not many Milan fans will have heard of Kostic before he officially signed this week for a fee of €3-3.5m, barring the links in recent weeks and months. The teenager joins from Partizan where he has already made a bit of a name for himself with 10 league goals this season.

Starting next season, he will be part of the Milan Futuro squad, aiming to develop without pressure and then make the jump. The Montenegrin joins a long list of talents that the club have invested in, but his form this season suggests he will quickly become more than just a B-team player.
The Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic – still a pillar of the Montenegro national team, now playing for Turkish side Trabzonspor – gave an interview to today’s edition of Tuttosport about his team-mate Kostic. MilanPress relayed his words.
“Kostic is a player who thrives in the penalty area. He’s always in the right place at the right time, which means he reads the game well. He’s strong, quick, and resourceful,” he said.
“He’s also very young and has plenty of room to learn and improve, so I think he can become an extraordinary player in the future. He definitely seems more experienced than his age. Already at Budućnost, at just 17, he had played some good games and made a name for himself, so he quickly moved to Partizan.
“The experience he’s gaining playing for the team I once played for certainly makes him a better player. On the pitch, he seems much older and more experienced than he actually is. He’ll definitely be able to play for a strong team in one of the top five leagues in a few years.
“It’s up to him how he presents himself at Milan, and how he takes advantage of the opportunities that come his way. But I still believe he’ll play at a high level in the coming seasons at a good club. Andrej is a good, hard-working guy.
“He knows where he started from and that he still has a lot of work to do to reach the level of the greatest players Montenegro has ever produced. He has good role models in those players from our country who have had great careers in Italy. And he should therefore follow their example.”
