Scaroni confirms the rumours: “We have some infected players at Milan”

By Isak Möller -

Earlier this morning, Corriere Dello Sport reported that four AC Milan members tested positive for the Coronavirus. The rumours were then seemingly denied by the club, but now Paolo Scaroni has confirmed it in a recent interview.

Speaking live on InConTra’s War Room (via MilanNews.it), the Rossoneri president revealed that a few of the tests taken at La Madonnina clinic were positive. However, he also added that these cases are already in the recovery process.

“We have some infected players at Milan, in the process of recovery. But Maldini, both the father and the son, are now well. Milanello is open and we have already started training, keeping our distance,” he stated.

Although training has resumed at Milanello, the players are still not allowed to train in a group. Until the government changes its restrictions, individual training will be the only method allowed. Everything, of course, depends on the virus.

In the coming days, we should know more about the resumption of the season. Bundesliga recently announced that their first game since the stop will take place on Friday next week, behind closed doors, of course.
