AC Milan are in the final stages, it seems, of bringing Adriano Galliani home, back to the Rossoneri. However, some things must be worked out.
There is something about Milan looking to bring back Galliani which fills you with a bit more confidence. From a romantic perspective, it is bringing back one of the club’s greatest influences, someone who is recognised inside and out of the club.

However, it is also a strong point for everything else. The Rossoneri are bringing back someone who knows the DNA of the colours. Someone who knows the workings of Italian football in several senses. Ultimately, someone that the fanbase respects.
The issues
The management’s biggest weakness, really, is the lack of recognisable faces and a lack of ‘footballing’ knowledge. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was seen as the solution, and now those rewards are only just being seen.
So, a move for Galliani could massively strengthen the Rossoneri in several ways. However, there will be difficulties.
As Calciomercato.com writes, he cannot return as the president, a role held by Paolo Scaroni, nor can he return as the CEO, a title held by Giorgio Furlani. So, there are two options, it seems.
Either he would be the ‘Vice President’ or the ‘Head of Football’. Though considering his political power and knowledge, the latter would surely see him wasted slightly. We shall have to see.

Milan DNA have always been strong Italian core mixed with great foreign players.
Milan DNA is to compete for titles and is to big and historic of a club to be used as Bologna with selling its best players in their Prime just to replace them with 2-3 Moneyball players.
If this management want to bring back Milan DNA and its important for them then the best way is to sell the club to someone Rich, Passionate and wants to win because their American Baseball strategy don’t work at a big club like Milan and they can buy Sassoulo and their strategy will probably work there.
Most Moneyball players need time to adapt because usually they have to take a big step in their career and are young but in a Club like Milan you don’t have that luxury and need to perform at least on a level that is top 4 and go through group stage in CL which is hard for them and they get branded as flops but in smaller teams they would get game time to develop and don’t have that pressure to win titles.
Only time the Moneyball strategy could work in Milan is if Milan had the squad like 2006-07 that was great but aging and you bring in young players to learn and taking over little by little until they could take over fully.
