Scaroni happy with Amorim’s arrival at Milan as Cardinale has a ‘magic touch’

AC Milan’s president Paolo Scaroni has shared his thoughts on the arrival of Ruben Amorim, praising Gerry Cardinale for his ‘magic touch’.

Amorim was announced as Milan’s new head coach on Tuesday evening, ending a three-week-long casting process for the position. However, while some are happy that the process is over, others are less content with the outcome.

As we highlighted in our latest newsletter, while Amorim showed a lot of promise during his time at Sporting, the tenure with Man Utd wasn’t exactly brilliant. In short, he failed at a big club and fans are worried that it will happen again.

Anyway, when asked about the appointment (ANSA via Antonio Vitiello), the Rossoneri president Scaroni said that he trusts Cardinale. Whether the American has a magic touch can be discussed, though, seeing how Milan have developed in recent years.

“I know that Gerry Cardinale has been following Amorim for some time. I trust Cardinale has his own magic touch in choosing people. He has demonstrated it many times in his life, and I hope that this time too, it truly is a magic touch,” he stated.

Only time will tell, we suppose, but for now Cardinale needs to apply that ‘magic touch’ to find a few directors as well.

  1. Gerry didn’t know Milan had 7 champions league titles and somehow he is top notch when it comes to getting the right manager …. I think the time has come for a new nickname for stadioni….. I’m going with Suckacockoni🤣🤣🤣

    1. If it wasn’t for the MU debacle which basically left Amorim in the coaching version of what the current Milan is as a club, we still wouldn’t have hired either.

    2. They basically narrowed themselves into only sporting directors who would approve of Amorim as a coaching hire. And that seems to be a very narrow field.
Once more a$$ backwards stuff but expected from this owner

      1. What I find hilarious is the sudden U-Turn from Glassner. Foreplay… foreplay… foreplay…. then boom, blueballs. Here comes Amorim.

  2. This fool is either smoking something or he’s being sarcastic. Jerry cardinale has a magic touch in choosing people and taking decisions really? His other club toulouse is in shambles. The fans hate his guts. Let’s see what he has done to Milan. Fired a club legend like Maldini, who was not doing an amazing job, but was learning on the job and was gunning towards the right direction. Fired Massara right after Maldini. Sold the only player who understood what playing for Milan really means (Tonali) Fired Pioli who had one year remaining on his contract only to replace him with a worse coach while in that specific season, he had a buffet of coaches to choose from. Hired the fool Furlani and fired him a season and a half later along with the whole management. He basically destroyed everything Elliot did by taking a team that was in first place down to eighth and sixth place.. so what magic touch are we talking about Mr. Scaroni?
