For the final game of the season, Sassuolo vs. AC Milan, Elliott Management CEO Paul Singer made the trip along with his son Gordon. And the two were moved to tears after the win, Paolo Scaroni has revealed.
Gordon Singer has been present many times, both at home and away games, but it was the first game for his dad Paul. Thanks to the win, the two also got to take part in the Scudetto parade the day after, being on the second bus.
In an interview with La Verità, as cited by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Milan president Paolo Scaroni spoke about the Singers and he revealed that the Scudetto success brought them to tears.
“These are unique emotions, and not just for me. In Reggio Emilia, in the stands, I saw even the Singer family, father and son, people who have had everything in life, moved. Certain joys are not bought. They arrive, you welcome them, and they remain inside you forever,” he stated.
Elliott are expected to keep a minority share of 30% of the club after Gerry Cardinale’s takeover, which says a lot about their dedication to this project. Since they took over in 2018, the trajectory has been upward.
And let the whining begin again on how they’re only in it for the money. Because they’re American, right? 🙂
Yeah yeah, they must be ruthless monsters without any hint of emotion, one must fit in the cliches… 🙄😂.
They became so ‘Emotional’ that they decided to sell their stake and cash in?
Nope. They decided to KEEP 30% instead of selling it all. There’s a difference.
They were never going to keep it to themselves anyway.
