After his meeting with the San Donato Mayor earlier today, Paolo Scaroni has offered some clarity on AC Milan’s stadium situation, with the parties happy about the proceedings.
In a similar situation to the events of previous years, Milan have been in a consistent back and forth about the stadium this year. There have been several different ideas, and a few different preferred options for the Rossoneri, and it seems this will continue to be the case.
The stadium in San Donato to San Siro renovation, back to the San Donato, and now the possibility of purchasing San Siro with Inter. A situation which has been needing clarity for years, as hectic as ever, and it will not become simpler.
Both clubs sent a document of interest about San Siro recently, but there were inklings that the Diavolo wanted a clause to allow them to explore the prospect of San Donato.
On the topic of San Donato, the club’s CEO spoke about the situation today and his words to ANSA have been relayed by Milan News.
“This morning’s meeting was positive and once again testified the seriousness of the project and the approach taken by all the interlocutors involved. The administration and the institutions immediately outlined a well-defined path, with clarity and transparency, allowing us to follow a rapid and concrete procedural process so far.”
With Italian bureaucracy, it will never happen.
Do not listen to Sala. This is a tactical to kill the San Donato project. If San Donato officials tire of this Sala will re-nig and we will be forced to renovate the San Siro and continue to be tenants.
Plus I don’t want to be co owners with Inter. If we are gonna own, we should own outright.
As much as i dont like him Scaroni is a politician type executive and knows he has to play the game on both sides even if one is clearly the priority, you have to appease and misght as well keep all options open, and if anything this is the way to talk to the bureocrats that you need to get on-board…….and Scaroni knows this… dont overreact to his stadium comments…
