Mattia Liberali has attracted the interest of several Serie A clubs and could leave Catanzaro this summer, which would result in some money for AC Milan.
Catanzaro nearly secured promotion for the 2026-27 edition of Serie A, losing the play-offs tie against Monza on account of their league table position. Indeed, the aggregate score was 2-2 after the two games, but Monza finished higher in the league standings and thus clinched promotion.

Liberali played an important role for the team throughout the entire season, adding a spark of creaticity in his No.10 role. As such, it’s not exactly surprising to hear that several clubs are monitoring his future.
€6m clause and Milan’s 50%
According to Nico Schira, Sassuolo and Como are the frontrunners to sign the former Milan man this summer. Juventus are also in the mix, especially since their new CEO Giovanni Carnevali wanted the player when he was at Sassuolo.
In Liberali’s contract, there is supposedly a €6m release clause and Milan are entitled to 50% of that, as they allowed the attacking midfielder to leave for free last summer. In other words, Milan will be keeping an eye on the developments as they might bank some money.
A lot of fans would like to see Liberali return to the club, but considering the latest rumours, that feels like a remote possibility.

So we get 3 mil for a player that when we gave him away for free had an estimated value of 4 mil according to Transfermarkt. Brilliant business, sigh..
On the other hand Como would make a lot of sense to me considering that they most likely will have to send Nico Paz back to Real Madrid this summer.
3 millions for a player who will value in the future over 50 millions…wow…we are so rich, so skilled…😆
So milan let go 1 of the most promising Homegrown, Italian, Nr10 player that this team has desperately needed since Diaz left for free. And now Clowndirnale is happy to bank 3 mil. Yup sounds like redturd bussines model.
Clowndirnale? Redturd? Grow up.
Gains baby! Gains!
This fan base has become worse than arsenal. Its like everyone comes on here just to complain. Milan tried to extend his contract and keep him, he didnt want to sign and wanted to leave for free. Yes, the youth pathway (or lack there of) to the first team instigated his desire to leave. But Milan never wanted him to leave. So not sure why everyone is complaining like it was Milan’s choice to let him go for next to nothing
Tell us what’s good about the club right now, apart from the financial Scudetto?
We have no director, no coach, no CEO. No direction. We seem like we’re about to hire a coach before we hire the sporting director🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️…. Which is SSA backwards.
We went from being Scudetto contenders and a semi in the UCL to outside of Europe for the second straight year
Finishing 8th and 5th respectively. Our core players seem to want out of the club. This is nothing short of a disaster. Have u not been seeing what is going on? We’re about to hire Amorim FFS
What’s been good about the club for the last 20 years? Since our last CL win in 06/07 season, we have only won the league twice plus a suppercopa. That’s it, yes we started having some stability when Maldini came on board for a few years, but even then people were whinging about the things he was doing.
Not defending the cardinale, our clubs a joke at the moment. But all we had was a brief relief from banter era. We went from scudetto contenders? When was that? apart from winning the scudetto in 21/22, we have been 15-20 points off winning since we won it before that in 10/11.
Not a joke bro.. remember milan have huge debt at maldinis time. We have to restricted salary and budget. Milan at that time have clarity, direction and ambitions. Now milan ?? Ibra have some plan ?? Dont think so.. only wants amorim than the champion glassner. Ambition ?? I don’t think so…. 😂😂
I guess we’re on the same page. But slightly different reference points. My reference point was the last Scudetto. It means we were able to challenge for it. With sensible additions and/or lifting the salary cap to keep.out good players,.we would have been able to become viable long term contenders. Instead we did this year zero nonsense every single year since.
That’s my biggest gripe. We had it in our hands and we fumbled BIG TIME
A sell-on clause should have been included when Milan sold him (though Catanzaro might request for lower than the 50% fee)
Yeah definitely, though I feel Tare didnt have much leverage with his contract expiring to get anything significant. 50% profit from next sale is probably the best we could have got in that situation
Another cardinale failure
Get some capital gain about 3m ?? Come on guys.. wake up. Galliani will be laughing. . 😂🤣😂🤣😂🍻🐐🐐
Milan should buy him back and then sell him for more if they don’t want to keep him…spend 3m sell for 7-10 and bank more…..if not keep him
